Between Pete and myself, we've worn all of our selvedge denim fits at one time or another. In my opinion, Elgin is the most versatile. The mid-rise sits comfortably at the boiler, the tapered, but not too tapered leg works well with almost all shoes and boots and for tall guys, it is our longest model.

The name comes from the 1970’s punk venue in Ladbroke Grove, London where before joining The Clash, John Graham Mellor/Joe Strummer's band, The 101ers, had a nine month residency in 1975-76. The pronunciation of Elgin is el-ghin, but if you go there, and fancy a refreshing cocktail, don't ask for a ghin & tonic.
